Guide for Authors

Researchers are required to adhere strictly to the publication policies and submission standards adopted by Al-Nour Journal for Information Technology and Cybersecurity, in alignment with the journal's specialization in information technology and cybersecurity. Submitted papers must be based on rigorous and original methodologies, offering new contributions to the field. Academic integrity in citations must be observed, with precise referencing and avoidance of redundancy, generalizations, and biased or unsupported claims.

Submitted research must meet high scientific standards, including a clear research objective, accurate and sequential presentation of results, and a discussion that aligns with the stated goals. Papers must be supported by recent and relevant scholarly references and must not contain plagiarized or replicated content from other research works, as this is unacceptable in academic publishing.

Researchers must follow the guidelines below when submitting their manuscripts. Papers that do not comply with these conditions will not be accepted for publication:

  1. Originality: The paper must be original and not submitted or published in any other journal.

  2. Citation and Referencing: All works, texts, contributions, or sources used (including websites) must be cited correctly following international standards. The preferred referencing style is APA.

  3. Language Quality: The paper must be written in correct English, using proper technical terminology. Authors should ensure the manuscript is proofread before submission.

  4. Research Integrity: All submitted work must represent the original efforts of the authors and must not be wholly or partially copied or plagiarized from other sources without proper citation.

  5. Error Handling: If any errors or inaccuracies are discovered in the submitted manuscript, the author is required to notify the Editor-in-Chief immediately to arrange for correction or withdrawal.

  6. Submission Procedure: Submissions must be made exclusively through the journal's official electronic submission system. Submitting more than one paper at a time is considered a violation of publication ethics.

  7. Author Information: The title of the paper must be provided in both English and Arabic. Authors must include their full name in both languages, academic degree, qualifications, field of specialization, institutional affiliation, official email address, and phone number.

  8. Abstract and Keywords: Two abstracts are required (in Arabic and English), each between 200 and 500 words, using font size 12. Abstracts must summarize all key aspects of the paper without references or figures. Include 3 to 5 keywords in alphabetical order in both languages.

  9. Manuscript Structure: The paper should include an introduction, conclusions, recommendations, and a final summary. All citations must follow the APA style.

  10. Length of Manuscript: The paper should be between 6 to 10 pages, excluding references.

  11. Formatting: Manuscripts must be prepared in Microsoft Word, with figures and diagrams placed appropriately and print-quality ensured. It is recommended to use advanced tools like MATLAB or other domain-specific software for technical illustrations.

  12. Original Technical Contribution: Submissions should offer new and innovative technical contributions in the field of IT and cybersecurity, demonstrating compliance with global standards such as the use of updated software, big data analysis tools, and artificial intelligence applications.

  13. Non-Compliance: The journal reserves the right not to publish any paper that fails to meet one or more of these conditions.
